On Friday 7 November, in a moving conclusion to the 2014 Vintage Club Reunion, CGS Old Boys, students, staff, and families gathered at the Pool of Reflection at the Australian War Memorial for the Last Post Ceremony. The ceremony honoured Private Harry Broughton Moriarty 19th Battalion, AIF. Private Moriarty attended Manaro Grammar School, leaving in 1915. He was Killed in Action on 3 May 1917.
Dr Justin Garrick, Head of School, and Mr Irwin Prowse, OBE, CGS’ oldest living Old Boy, laid ceremonial wreaths beside the Pool of Reflection, in remembrance of all the Fallen Soldiers of CGS.
