Vintage Club
The Vintage Club is open to all Old Boys who left the School 50 years ago or more, and celebrates the strong connection that so many of our Old Boys have maintained – both with each other and with the School – over decades. Each year in November, the Club meets to reminisce, connect with current students, tour the School grounds and enjoy a Chapel Service, lunch in the Dining Hall, Senior School Assembly and afternoon tea together.
Always well attended by our Old Boys, the Vintage Club Reunion is a cherished opportunity to gather together and share stories and memories that took place in a very different time but that are filled with the same character of CGS that is easily recognisable to the boys of today. Always thrown in, to the great enjoyment of the current students, is a tale or two of the mischief and larrikinism that has taken place at CGS since its inception – a legacy all of its own.
“It is humbling to know that we quite literally walk in your footsteps. Every year on the final day of Year 12, the boys of CGS pledge that they will always be CGS boys. We are incredibly fortunate to have the Vintage Club, who have upheld that promise all their lives, and who are fundamental to preserving our heritage.”
Oliver Tridgell, CGS Old Boy and School Captain, Class of 2013
CGS treasures the continued affection and support that our Vintage Club shows to the School and is delighted to welcome its Vintage Old Boys back each year. When you reach the right vintage, so to speak, no need to sign up for the Vintage Club, so long as the School has your current mailing details, you’ll automatically start receiving information regarding the next Vintage Club Reunion.
